I will be watching 'Horizon: How Many People Can Live on Planet Earth?' tonight.

It is presented by David Attenborough, which might lead one to believe it'll be about the mass royalty sums he's accrued from DVD sales of 'Planet Earth'. Just a little joke about language there...

(I do actually like David Attenborough. Quite a lot. When he dies it's going to be like the deaths of Queen Victoria, Diana, Michael Jackson, Keith Floyd, and Nan from The Royle Family combined. It will be officially the saddest day ever and it'll take the nation years to recover. I hope he never, ever dies and that is not a joke.)

In the programme I fully expect him to engage with 19th century political economy, morality, attitudes towards the poor, and hopefully, the spread of popular ethical maxims originating from the misunderstanding and selective reading of political economy. I hope so, because then it will make explaining my thesis to people a lot easier. I wonder who the research team are.
